Welcome to our Wiki Book Study!

This wiki is a online collaborative book study between Cobb District ESOL Leads and the ALTs from Areas 1 & 2. We will post our reflections on the book and its implications for the classroom. The side bar is organized by the chapters of the book and each chapter will contain tools and resources for classroom use.

Instructions for collaboration:

Step 1: Choose a Chapter Page to manage

• Click on the chapter that you will manage and add your name
• If you wish to create your own avatar to place on your page, click onthe Voki below to make a "virtual you" to post on your page
• Editing is password protected and the password should only be shared with the Leads and ALTs winvolved in this Book Study
• Each chapter should have a District Lead, and at least two ALTS...one from Area 1 and one from Area 2

Step 2: Create synopsis of your chapter

• As more than one person is responsible for a chapter, you will be editing and adding to one another's work
• As you find or create resources, post them to the appropriate chapter

Step 3: Use this wiki to share ideas and resources

• This wiki will be posted to the ESOL blog and will allow all teachers to view our progress and gain access to the info in Margarita Calderon's book.
• Feel free to utilize this wiki as you work with all classroom teachers
